10.4.11 fully updated.

Today I pulled it out to install TenFourFox and test it out. It works fine connected to RJ45. However, when I tried to use the internal Airport card, it doesn't detect any signals.

In the Network system preferences, make sure the wifi interface is selected.

In Terminal, issue this command and paste the results into your reply here.
system_profiler SPNetworkDataType

View the system.log with Console.app. Then turn off airport and turn it back on. Hopefully something enlightening will be thrown into the system log.

I'm using a Linksys wireless router with DD-WRT firmware. It's probably less than 5 feet from the router and doesn't see it or any other wireless networks. My 3400 with the Orinoco Gold card connects just fine.

Good. Um, do you have any type of encryption enabled? Might help to temporarily disable that.
