Im thinking of using OS9 for a bit, but already have Leopard installed.
If I was to put OS9 on a separate partition would I be able to
install it after Leopard, or will this mess up my Leopard install?
No problem.
I remember something about OS9 drivers when formatting the drive but
I cannot find any mention of this in Disk Utility.
Since Leopard does not support OS 9 booting or Classic, the option
was removed from its version of Disk Utility.
The drivers are required if you want to boot OS 9.
What you'll need to do (after backing things up of course) is boot on
a Panther or Tiger dvd or external HD, run Disk Utility. Erase then
re-partition the internal HD, adding the OS 9 driver. Then re-load
each partition with the OS you want.
