Hi, I have a PowerBook Wallstreet G3 Series with a problem that developed suddenly.
When I power up the computer everything is normal until the battery icon and time/date appear on the menu bar and then the startup process stops. The hard drive icon does not appear on the desktop although the screen stays lit. The same thing also happens when I try to boot from the OS 9.2 CD. Startup is normal until the battery icon and time appears then the process stops dead and the CD icon does not appear on the lit desktop. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem and how to fix it? I reset the PMU but don't know what else to try.
