I've successfully functioned for a year without having Flash installed at
all. I have a Chrome installation on a different machine in case I
absolutely must use a Flash interface, but that's rare (granted, I'm not a
video junkie and I don't play games in browser). I use mobile versions of a
lot of sites to work around Flash requirements or excessive JavaScripting.
Unless Flash is vital to your day to day life, you might be able to get rid
of it and the attendant security holes and update issues.

PowerPC? I use my old FireFox and ignore the warnings when I have to go
thru a FlashPlayer interface. Safari seems more solid and less querky
but TenFourFox seems faster. -Don
