I got my first Pismo a week ago, and while it is much, much better than the $20 I payed for it would imply, the battery won't charge. System Profiler and a freeware battery utility both say that there is about 3500mAh left on the battery, but everything else is zero (current charge, charge cycles, time remaining until full, etc). I know that this is probably a dead battery, but I did some searching and came up with "Apple Battery Reset" which was a free Classic application that would run on Lombards or Wallstreets, but not Pismos. Several websites mentioned bringing completely dead Pismo batteries back to 2-3 hour charge times by putting them in a Lombard and running Apple Battery Reset.

So, I know this is a long shot, but are there any Houston area (preferably West side) Lombard owners who would be willing to help me out and let me reset my Pismo battery with your Lombard? I know there's still a chance it won't help, but it just might save me $50. I've been wanting a Pismo for a good 6-7 years now, and if it had a working battery I think it would become my main laptop.

Thanks,
Steven
