I know that the Pismo's graphics card is capable of resolutions up to
1280x1024. I know that they make 14" screens at those resolutions. I
also know that it is possible to put a 1024x768 screen in a clamshell
iBook, and it is possible to put a 1400x1080 screen in a 12"
PowerBook. I know that theoretically there is no problem with putting
a 1280x960 screen in a Pismo, but has anyone actually done this? Has
anyone done anything similar to this (put a higher resolution screen
in a PowerBook or iBook)? Does anyone know enough about LCDs to
recommend a 14" screen with the same connectors and mounts as the
Pismo, but with a higher resolution?
The Pismo is beginning to show its age in some areas, but none are as
obvious today as its puny screen resolution. With 1280x960 it would
be just about perfect.
Thanks,
Steven
