.9 miles is a long long way for wifi. Look here <http://wirelessvideocameras.com/> What you need is made, but it's pricey. Alternatively, make a long range 802.1x link with a couple of cantennas, although that would be dicey in bad weather, and would require some seriously careful alignment. Then you can use any old wifi camera. <http://tinyurl.com/9xcckkg> They also sell parabolic antennas for this purpose, this one claimes 14 mile range: <http://www.data-alliance.net/servlet/-strse-171/Antenna-24dBi-Grid-Parabolic/Detail> Here's one article I googled up: <http://rv.dickeastman.com/2012/01/how-to-build-a-long-range-wi-fi-system-part-1.html> and here's another: <http://www.usbwifi.orconhosting.net.nz/> Google 'diy point to point long range wifi' -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Books, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
