One, this is not likely to be allowed under his contract for DSL, as there is likely a clause in there about 'reselling' bandwidth, which is what he'd be doing. Sort of. That said...it's his bandwidth, and should he decide to use a wireless base station there's not a lot he can do to keep you from using it, too, so long as you're in range, and you really should make a contribution to the cause rather than steal from your neighbor. 8-} On a cable system, your bandwidth use will impact others, but with DSL you have your own pipe to their backbone, so whether you use a little or all of your allotted bandwidth doesn't matter. Unused bandwidth is money going down the drain. As for the software, if you're running OS8.6 or 9+ get Tome Viewer and extract the Airport components fromt he Air Portinstaller tome on your system CD and it should work fine. At least one person on this list has done so with satifactory results using OS 9.1. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
