Hi all,

I ran across this the other day and the Upgrade FAQ on Accelerate your Mac website 
syas that there
is a chip on the logic board of the newer Pismos that are not sold or availiable to 
anyone except
for apple.  It may have been a way for apple to shut down the upgrades on the newer 
powerbooks.
