a gateway is a class of devices, of which router is a member... that is, a 
router is one kind of gateway.

more generally, a gateway is a device that joins two networks. typically 
this is connecting a LAN to a WAN or to the Internet. A router or a switch 
both do this at different levels.

I don't see anything with "gateway" in it's name on the Linksys website...
