In this instance, there isn't any difference.  A router routes 
between several subnets.  When one of or more of the subnets is over 
a long haul link it is often called a gateway.  A bridge, a device 
that connects two networks without routing, can also be a gateway. 
Calling it a router is more accurate but when marketing gets into 
things terminology often gets muddled.
