I have an iBook 500 with a tiny 10 gb. drive. I have the extended
warranty on it, and everyone I have spoken to about hard drive upgrades,
including the Apple store have told me that I need to get an external.
I'm proficient with computer repair, but am leery about possibly voiding
my Applecare on this iBook. I'm shooting for a 20 gb drive. I bought my
iBook the week before the 600's came out with the 15 gb drive.
What are my options for an internal? Or do I have to go with an
external? And who can I go to to have an internal put in, as to avoid
voiding my Applecare? Does anyone know the threshold of the Applecare
warranties?
Thanks In Advance.
