Mozilla is 'za bomb. If you were using a fairly current netscape, you were actually using mozilla code. :) Basically netscape open-sourced their code, then were bought by AOL (I believe, could have happened right after) as an attempt to keep an alternative going to MS and commoditize the browser even further than MS was willing to go. Every once in awhile aol takes the source code and branches it from the open source tree, adds in netscape-specific stuff and releases it as netscape. It has taken a long, long time to get mozilla to where it is now. Because it is open sourced, things take a lot longer but when it eventually gets to where it is going its pretty damn good. I used to be pretty annoyed by it, but I've had 20 tabs running for 4 days non stop without a crash. :) Version 1.1a is pretty damn slick. There are still some issues to be worked out, but by and large it is starting to get pretty damn amazing. Faster than IE in a lot of cases too. And it's not even close to done, some of the new OSX-specific builds are cutting memory usage and pushing speed even faster. Some things I'd encourage if you are interested in trying it: Go under your advanced javascript preferences and turn off all the stuff except for "open new window only when requested". You've just stopped all annoying pop up windows and ads. Under tabbed browsing, set it so that it automatically opens tabs behind the current window. Right-clicking on a link and having it load behind your current one for when you're done with what you're reading is awesome. Check out some of the really neat and easy to install themes- you just click the "install theme" button from the page, and its downloaded and there to be selected. My two personal favorites are "pinball" which uses small amounts of screen real estate, and "orbit retro".
