If I understand correctly, doesn't XP have to check in with Big Brother to
remain active? Not that I condone pirating an OS (or any software) but I
just don't like the idea that my computer is being tracked to keep the OS
from being installed on more than one machine. Somehow I'm guessing that
it's providing more than just the serial number for XP. And does it have to
continue checking in periodically?
