My sympathies. I hope you have OS 9, OS X, and Documents on separate 
partitions. If not, now you see one advantage to that setup; it's a lot 
easier to erase the X partition and reinstall than do the whole 
enchilada. If, er when, you reinstall, you may want to consider a 
similar partition setup to facilitate things next time. . . and if you 
are more than a light user, there will be a next time.
