I haven't found anything in OS X that works, but I have the same printer hooked up to my old 6500 (OS 8.6). I then have the 6500 connected via a crossover cable to my iMac DV running OS 9.2.2. On the 6500 I designate the printer as a "shared" printer, and then can print on my iMac through the 6500. I would think I could do that with my iBook (500), too, if I was in Classic. But I haven't tried.
