I have a Rev A PowerBook G4 (Titanium). When connecting through an SMB share to my Winbloze XP box, transferring large files, I am getting network utilization rates (as shown on the Windoze side) of like 5% of my 100mbps connection. That's 5mbps. Doesn't this thing have 10/100 ethernet?
Is this just a bad SMB implementation? I know the networking cable/switch/system is fine. The switch reports that the Tibook is connected at 100mbps, as well as my Windoze machine. Plus, connections over SMB shares from one windoze box to another on the same segment at home (yes, I have lots of machines) get transfer rates of nearly 80-90 mbps.
