What OS?

10.1 SMB was slowish, I'vew not had much of a chance to test 10.2 on a 
live network. On a dial-in connection smb is glacially slow; afp is 
mereley like using a dial-in connection to transfer files, ie works ok.

If you have OS9, DAVE is real nice in that it works, but it's slower 
than molasses a lot of the time, too.
