I don't know. I think the help is rather obtuse on this (at least it is in Entourage...) Go to the Tools menu. The first item is "Run Schedule." This opens a sub menu. The last item is "Edit Schedules." Open that window, and click on the "New" button. In the window that opens, give it a name like "empty trash on quit." Next, in the top section or pane, there is a popup menu. The text in it should read "manually." By clicking on that, you will see a list of options. One of them is "On Quit." Choose that. Next, in the next pane or section, choose from the popup menu on the left, choose "Delete mail." From the next popup, choose, "From Deleted Items." Here, you will have an option. You can choose to delete items older than a given number of days. I choose 7 days, so that gives me a week to change my mind. I think you can leave this blank to delete everything, but I'm not sure. Experiment. You can also choose to empty any other folder. If you don't see your desired folder on the list, pick "choose folder" from the bottom of the popup. This should get you what you want. Incidentally, I don't use the "on quit" option because I don't quit my app, so I choose a daily routine to do it the same time every day. It works better for me than the on quit or startup option. :-) -- Jon Glass Krakow, Poland <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?
