My recently acquired Pismo 400 can't play a music CD more than about 20-30 min. without serious dropout of the audio with concurrent noisy "head-seeking behavior" (it sounds like its completely confused as to where the tracks are). Eventually it stops spinning, then restarts repeatedly. After removing the module and letting it cool, it works fine for another 20-30 min.
Is this a known issue? The fan came on yesterday for the first time (a scorcher here in Australia) for a short while, so it works, but doubt it cools that side much. thanks, Jack in Victoria -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
