Okay - I am new here to the G-Books page and probably asking an old question. But I
just bought a great little Pismo 400 with 320 RAM, open box - new (no warranty) from
CompUSA. Everything seemed to work fine for a couple of months until a couple days
ago. Anywho the LG CD-ROM/DVD won't recognize CD's and the System profiler in OS
X.2.2 crashes everytime I take a look at the drive specs. If I run the hardware test I
get it to
read 1 CD and then it stops again. Are there driver's posted fro these GoldStar CD/DVD
drives that enable them to be more reliable? I see a lot of postings on Apple's web
support pages but everyone basically says "too bad" or "that's a bummer" but no
answers. The rest of the machine runs like a dream - just no i tunes or the like.
Kinda
aggravating!! Can anyone help me?

Eternally grateful for anyone's help,

Mark
