Maybe you're thinking of the Harman-Kardon sound sticks. However the only thing they have in common with the Apple Pro speakers is that they're clear acrylic. I recently hooked up a set to my iBook (Dual USB) and was blown away by the sound. Of course the iSub woofer bundled with them added significantly to the sound experience! Unfortunately the price tag on these is $199 at Apple's store. Something else to consider is the JBL creature, speaker system. Talk about alien technology! I haven't heard these though so I can't vouch for their sound quality, but I've heard they do sound good.
