Actually, I think the increased battery life is a bit of an 
exaggeration. It might be a touch longer, but it's not really 
noticeable. I still get the same 2.5-3 hours. I can compare because I 
also have a similarly configured G3/500 Pismo (my wife's) handy and can 
test with the same battery.  ;-)
