Battery life for me has been shorten but not excessively. As we all
know there are some many variables when it comes to measuring battery
life. I have a battery in each bay for both of my WS PB's and I can get
on average 2.5 to three hours of life. Be advised that I use a PC card
for Firewire and USB and this will take additional power.

If I really wanted to I could scale down power usage and extend this to
3.5 to 4 hours max.

One thing to note about using a Sonnet upgrade--you can't use processor
cycling in OS 9 as this will lock up the PowerBook. I am talking
freezing solid. Sonnet will tell you this in their literature. They're
right.

I am using Street Atlas w/ a GPS connected to a USB card while driving.
Very useful and last about 2 hours. I have a power converter in the car
when the batts get low.
