I use my Pismo, a Garmin Etrex GPS, and DeLorme Street Atlas for
navigation while my wife and I are traveling in our truck pulling a
5th wheel trailer. Slicker than deer guts on a door knob - as we say
here in the almost Great White North of Michigan.
The Pismo is secured to a home-made plywood desk/mount strapped to
the seat/console between the driver and navigator. The mount supports
the screen so it doesn't flop around and allows the Pismo to be
pivoted so that the driver can also look at the screen. A couple of
bucks worth of plywood, a few nuts and bolts and some bungee cord or
rubber bands.
If anyone is interested, I will send a couple of jpegs of my setup,
if you email me.
