I concur. I tried to get my 600mHz iBook to run this way and it wouldn't. I'd been running my Pismo closed for over a year without problems, but the iBooks use the keyboard as a primary heat vent. Running them closed is bad news. Apple designed them to not work that way, but apparently some of the earlier ones got through...
