It's FireWire so the drive will work with OSX. They're not real Mac-savvy at Computer Geeks, I'm sure they are referring to the included software as being unsupported by OSX (Jaguar). I would assume it will run in classic. I would also guess that the Yamaha drive will work with the Disk Burner utility included with OSX. I also remember that the Yamaha drive I had worked with iTunes under OS9 when I had my Beige G3 so I would assume it will also work with iTunes under OSX. However my best suggestion would be to purchase Toast Titanium.
