they do get hot, but i don't think they get anywhere near as hot as 
some of the discussion boards and websites online are making it out. i 
haven't measured the exact temperature on ours. it's definitely 
noticeable, but not uncomfortable to me or any of my users.

I haven't heard the fan on any of ours actually come on (like the 
iBooks and other PowerBooks, the fan only activates when necessary).

I haven't really noticed the trackpad button much. It is essentially 
the same button as on the iBook, though.
