Well, in Lite Switch, it works like this:
First tab -> last app used
Second tab -> next to the last app used
Third and consecutive tabs -> cycle through the apps in the same way, to the
next app used before the previous one.

This way, the most recently used apps are the closest. I find this structure
logical and quickly navigated. Seldom do I have an app that I need more than
three tabs away, and I frequently run 8 to 10 apps on my Pismo under 9.2.2.

Is there a version of Lite Switch available for X? :-)
