I've had this TiPB for about a year now, and I'm not sure if I've ever tried to use it on a dialup connection before. I've got DSL/Airport at home, and high speed network and wireless at the University, so maybe I haven't tried to use the modem before. At any rate, I tried to use it yesterday and even though the TCP/IP and Remote Access settings were correct, I get an error message saying that there are no ports available. Opening the Modem Control Panel verifies that it can't see any ports. I thought it might have been software related so I booted into the virginal emergency OS I have on a different partition and it's the same thing - no modem port seen. I'm starting to think it's hardware related. Anyone ever seen this or have any suggestions as to what might be wrong? I've got AppleCare on this thing, so getting it fixed isn't going to be more than an inconvenience, but if it's something in software I've overlooked, I'd rather it was that than a hardware problem. But I'm not very hopeful now.
