When Apple can afford to lose over $300 million per year from their home
entertainment division, I'm sure Apple can then address your concerns.
Eugene Lee
So, your saying that becasue apple dosent have a lot of money they should
make crapy products? Hmm, maybe I missed somthing? Casue that makes no sence
at all, and dont try and tell me they dont have enough cash to
engineer(Read: "Basically COPY") a scroll mouse design.
See if you make good products, people will buy them (Read: People other than
thoes forced when they get a new computer) and that gets you more money.
this has been argued for ages and ages, and there's no real reason to re-tread the issue now. suffice to say, macs come with a one-button mouse, and if you want more, you can spend anywhere from $10 at Walmart to $150 at CompUSA to get whatever you really want.
Whether you agree or not, Apple's line has always been that the one-button approach is because their market research shows that too many people are confused as to what the second button does or doesn't do in any given situation. Having done tech support for ages on both platforms, and having often had a 5 minute call stretched into a 20 minute call (or longer!) by customers constantly asking "which button" when I said "click on the...", part of me is happy Apple still ships one-button mice, even if I would prefer more for my own use.
