> Anyone know what the speed of the hard drive that came with my Pismo 400 > is? In 10.2.6 it says Toshiba MK1016GAP...also shows 9.36 GB (1K=1024) and
4200rpm. 121.4~234.1Mbps internal transfer rate (=15.2Mbytes/sec to 29.3Mbytes/sec, nominal, not counting error-correcting info). The nominal bandwidth of the UDMA66 interface (which is the Pismo's limiting factor) is 66.7 Mbytes/sec, so in the best case you could hope to double sustained transfer speed. -- -- Lewin A.R.W.
