But this is not PowerBook-specific. I was bidding on a CNC lathe, I lost it, I got offers of the same kind. I was bidding on a pallet-load of untested PC laptops, I lost it, I got offers of the same kind. It's a general-purpose scam, they probably search for anything completed recently over a certain dollar value, look at the bidding history, and contact everyone to see who will bite.
