I've installed one of the Matshita combo drives below (UJDA740) in my Pismo
running OS9.2. The instructions at
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/PB_G3/oem_combo_drives/build_guide/build_combo_dr
ive.html were helpful.

Now I have 2 questions:

(1) The OS9.2 built in disc burner software will not recognize this. Toast
does. The www.xlr8yourmac.com site provides a slightly altered driver file
for the Matshita combo drive UJDA710. Can this be further altered for the
UJDA740?

(2) How do I tell whether the drive has been set to master or slave? Is
there something in the OS Apple System Profiler? Does it matter whether the
drive is slave or master for a Pismo?

Thanks
