Yes, and they lose their "memory" or capacity to take a charge like all
lithium cells do after a limited period of time.  The Duo 200 series, as
well as the models you mentioned all take a stack of them.  The problem is
that they wear out.  If the PMU is not the culprit, which is far more
likely.
