I just purchased my ibook and could not be happier. I am a big guy with big hands, and it is not cramped at all. In my opinion, I think the ibooks look cooler than the powerbooks in its sleek white plastic. I looked also at the 12" Powerbook, in the end, my decision to go with the ibook was the cost savings and the looks. I went with 12" size because I wanted the greatest portability after lugging my Wallstreet around for several years.
As far as performance, I run the full suite of Adobe & Macromedia graphics programs in OSX without any noticeable slow downs (much faster than in the Wallstreet).
