Hi all,I have had cocktail installed for some time now,I would like to ask what is journaling?I'll have to ask you what is cocktail?
Journalling is a technique where additional information is stored on the disk to make it more forgiving of things that go boo in the night such as program crashes and power failures. A journalling file system should recover faster when it is booted after a power failure, and it should be less likely to suffer data losses from fault conditions.
