A general comment on Ti-Book hinges. I had a green vertical line problem on my Ti-400 that got replaced under Applecare by replacing the whole display. It needed two tries to get it right, and then the lid was very tight and hard to close. a couple of weeks later one hinge had cracked through and I headed back for repair again. It is still tighter than when new, and I expect will fail again. I suspect it is really difficult to get these hinges aligned and great precision is needed in the installation - don't just screw it on and expect it to fly forever. (I tried opening and closing three new ones at a store and only one was smooth and easy even right out of the box.)
