You will be able to use the same system on both machines, but, if I was you, I would maybe wait a little bit before getting Panther right when it comes out, unless having a little problem here and there doesn't bother you too much. I'm currently running Panther on my Pismo and although the last pre-release build is a lot better now, I still think it's not ready for prime time. So, if Apple works on it a little more, it might be good when it comes out.
