If I remember correctly, the keyboard and trackball are adb devices, but they use a different internal plug.

One should be able to do something. I would prefer to avoid using the external plug as this would spoil the finish project. Much neater just using the internal ADB, but I know very little about the internal interface for the keyboard/mouse of PowerBooks. What I think is logical may not be the way Apple designed them... ---

You can get some serious rechargeable batteries (check out these... http://nimhbattery.com/ap-8500-2.htm) these days that would fit
into the battery bay and there's probably tons of space inside for everything else.

Wow!! 8500mAh Something for RC control too...
