Hey, folks.
I just bought a CD/RW DVD drive and popped it into the sled from my
original CD-ROM DVD drive. Everything seems to work fine, except for burning
CD/RW's. Disk Burner says it's not supported.
I'm using a Powerbook G3/500, running OS 9.2. The drive is a Hitachi-LG
GCC-4240N DVD-ROM CD/RW drive. Anybody know how to remedy this? New driver,
Disk Burner update, something?

You can edit the authoring support file in OS9. xlr8yourmac.com may have more details, but basically you change the drive model number in the text of the document. I haven't seen any recent model combo drives supported, but since OS9 hasn't been updated in over a year that's not surprising. The only LG drive I see in my folder is a CDRW, model CED-8042. So you'd have to change that document to reflect your model number.
