Hey, folks.
I just bought a CD/RW DVD drive and popped it into the sled from my
original CD-ROM DVD drive. Everything seems to work fine, except for burning
CD/RW's. Disk Burner says it's not supported.
I'm using a Powerbook G3/500, running OS 9.2. The drive is a Hitachi-LG
GCC-4240N DVD-ROM CD/RW drive. Anybody know how to remedy this? New driver,
Disk Burner update, something?
go to xlr8yourmac.com and look through their CDRW stuff there. There may be updated driver files there for that model.
Rest assured that there are no updated driver files, only hacked DiscRecording files to make certain drives work. Best bet is to just get Toast and use it for recording with that model, as I haven't seen any positive reports on that drive working with DiscRecording.
