It's the wrong type RAM. The Lombard requires PC66, although SOME lucky bastards find that their machines do accept PC100.. It's the luck of the draw I guess--mine won't take PC100, even though an old Wallstreet I had (which supposedly required PC66) was as happy as a clam with PC100!!!
Anyway, the technical side of it is that the PC100 is "stacked" ram, and the PC66-version laptops (Lombard & Wallstreet) shouldn't bee able to see more than half of any 'stacked" configuration.. BTW, I've heard that if you DO get it to work, you'll likely experience more frequent crashing. good luck!
