There was an interesting item in the latest MacMall catalogue:
a Belkin USB notebook card that will let you input video w/o Fireware.
It has RCA and S-video inputs.
However, I'm running OS 9.1 - is there any product which can
trigger the import of video?
My aim is to digitize my VHS tapes and some day convert
them to DVD. It seems there are combo players out there that
will play VHS tapes and even record to DVD, but only from TV
or an external source, not from the VHS player.
