I used to use humidifiers, and found (even with the best technology at the time) that the combination of needing to clean them frequently and thoroughly, and the fine white powder that wound up on lots of things, that this "cure" was worse than the "disease." And, the old-style humidifiers could easily breed mold spores and spread them throughout the office or house.


The technology may have advanced since then, but I haven't looked recently.
