I haven't done a head-to-head test, but the major difference would be seek
times: 10ms for the 7200 rpm drive vs. 12ms for the 5400 rpm.  Depending on
how much disk i/o you're doing, that could be noticeable.

For what it's worth, I opted for the 7200 rpm drive and have been quite
happy with it.  Also, it was about $50 cheaper than the 80GB drive (at least
when I bought it).
