ok, so I'm just back from vacation. Still I find it strange that the continuous seeking occurs only under OS X. The drive model Nr. is IC25N040ATCS05-0 and was purchased by Transintl on July 7th, 2003. On the drive label, besides the "Warranty void if..." warning it says /May 03
