I haven't tried AppleTalk >because my DLink wireless router doesn't support it. There's no question whether the sourceforge driver works or not, it's just a matter of limitations and how many there are. I was busy slaying dragons last night and ran across the answers to my questions. The thing that makes this driver difficult is that it's open source and is constantly being improved. So, what might have been true (and logged as such) 3 or 4 weeks ago, may not necessarily be true today. Nonetheless, this is the information they are expounding currently: * The driver supports AppleTalk over IP but will not yet allow printing to AppleTalk printers. We are working to fix this. To connect to other Macs type: afp://ip-address in the connect to server dialog (e.g. afp://10.0.1.3). * If you have installed the latest version of the driver, both WEP and selection of closed networks are now supported for certain cards!! (They indicate which cards are supported) * The thing that *really* frosts my cake is that the Apple Internet Connect app does not recognize the sourceforge driver, thus the Airport menu-bar icon and menu are not available when using that driver. If I find out that Internet Connect recognizes the IOXperts driver, that might just be enough to push me into paying for it. The final thing that I found very disappointing was apparently no OS X "stumbler" seems to support wireless PCMCIA cards. That has nothing to do with the sourceforce driver, but it's really aggravating. I hope somebody proves me wrong on that one. Anyway, that's the latest scoop as I have run across it.
