Verizon seems to be having problems getting > email through, I could not access it at all last night. I did buy the IBM/Toshiba TravelStar 40GB 5400rpm a little while ago. It's very quiet and is quite faster than the 20GB that was in the Pismo when I got it or the original 6 or 10GB. You should be able to find it for around $100 these days, maybe less. You didn't get any error when you did the format of the drive? Was that a long time ago? I'm talking about a format, not an erase, BTW.
