I've tried the D-Link forum to no avail, so I turn this to the G-list,
hoping that someone has some experience with this wireless setup:

I've tried a D-Link DWL-122 USB wireless adapter (stick) on my Lombard
333, OS 10.3.4. The D-link driver (V 1.3.1) officially supports OS 10.3.2,
this may or may not be the problem. Symptoms:

- the device icon in the menu bar does not appear unlesss one opens the
preference pane first (it's supposed to be the other way around)
- OS crashes randomly when the stick is plugged and its icon is in the
menu bar (operates normally if the stick is plugged but not yet
recognised)
- OS freezes (spinning colour wheel) when I try to turn the device off
from its menu-bar control menu
- when connecting to my WLAN, I get a "wrong WEP key" warning, but it
connecst nevertheless

I have also located a newer version of the D-Link driver (1.3.2) but I
cannot expand the .tar archive. It tells me that Stuffit Engine 8.0.0 or
later is required and I have 8.0.2.

Has anyone succesfully used the DWL-122 with OS 10.3.4? Or am I really
limited to 10.3.2?

cheers, gianfranco
